This is the third film about classical music that Ty has directed and produced. The past two films includes interviews with the legendary violinist Itzhak Perlman. For the first time, several of Earl’s recorded interviews will be revealed including audio interviews from 1985 and 1993.
Ty’s previous film was about the cellist Lynn Harrell and his 60-year journey through music. “A Cellist’s Life” includes interviews with Yo-Yo Ma, John Williams, André Previn (his last filmed interview), Itzhak Perlman, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Yefim Bronfman and others.
