Edward C. Bartel II has been passionate about filmmaking for over 40 years. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Edward was bitten by the filmmaking bug at the age of 12. After getting his associate’s degree in Mass Media while still in high school, Edward relocated to Hollywood to continue his filmmaking career. In 2015, the documentary film entitled, “From Watts to Senegal”, which Edward produced and directed, was screened at the Pan African Film Festival. In 2018, Bartel’s Christian docu-series “Transformed” won numerous awards including best documentary, best director, and best writer. Today, Edward continues to develop marketing videos, documentaries, web series, and non-profit videos for his company EB Films, which just completed the feature-length documentary “Just the Beginning: A Century of Political Power and the League of Women Voters”.
